Product Description Review
I sat with my mother and went through each question. It was a truly moving experience as we captured her answers as she recounted some wonderful tales of her life with and without me. Thank you so much for the opportunity this book provided. --Colin Knight
I think this is a thoughtful and inspirational idea - sadly my nana passed away last year - although we spoke of many things, and I have lasting memories, the addition of this journal would have been very precious. --Mrs Hughes

A unique gift August 31, 2010 S. Waugh This is a unique gift idea and I came across it just by chance. Its full of pages for mum to record her life story to be passed on- things that perhaps would never come up just by talking to someone. It also has a few pages for mum to outline her hopes for your future- something that perhaps would never be talked about openly and frankly- something maybe easier to put on paper than say aloud.
I'm very close to my mum and, as someone who would normally not bother about this sort of thing, she absolutely loved it. Its a very thoughtful gift to give.
I would suggest you dont buy this as a birthday/Christmas/Mothers Day present though as it is really a gift for yourself!!!!
Dear Mum - Fantastic book July 19, 2010 Mrs. Jl Ahsan-farrer I bought this as a keepsake for myself to give to my mum and have not been disappointed. It has questions I would never have thought of asking within it and I can't wait to get it back to learn more about my mum. My mum loved it too and thinks it is an amazing legacy to leave someone. I would recommend this to anyone, a brilliant buy

A Wonderful Gift March 25, 2010 J. Mills (Norwich, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My Mum was delighted with her Journal of a Lifetime .... this is the reason I bought it for her.
My Grandad died a month ago - he was 96 - and during the past few months my Mum realised there was so much she didn't know about his earlier life before she was born and when she was very young. He found it difficult to communicate but she was able to find out so many missing details - he'd gone out to Australia with the Salvation Army in 1932, had worked on a sheep farm in Queensland and even owned 2 horses. He'd trained pilots whilst in the RAF, had been involved in a secret mission over 2 years during the War (this will always remain a mystery) and worked on the 'droop snoop' of Concord for Marshalls Engineering.
I'm very close to my Mum but realised there must be things I didn't know about her ... so I bought her the Journal and am looking forward to reading it's wonderful contents one day.
I'll definitely be giving one to my Dad on his birthday next month.
